Rand Paul has coronavirus
It was a matter of time before people in Congress started catching the coronavirus. We’ve seen various members of the House and Senate quarantine themselves, but up until recently they’ve all tested negative. Over the weekend, Republican Congressman Ben McAdams tested positive. Now Republican Senator Rand Paul now says that he’s also tested positive for coronavirus:
.
Senator Rand Paul has tested positive for COVID-19. He is feeling fine and is in quarantine. He is asymptomatic and was tested out of an abundance of caution due to his extensive travel and events. He was not aware of any direct contact with any infected person.

We wouldn’t wish this virus on anyone, so we hope he remains symptom-free and fully recovers. Of course this raises further concern about whether members of Congress may be passing this virus to each other. Stay safe everyone.
