Donald Trump’s lunatic rally goes completely off the rails

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump held a campaign rally tonight, and best we can tell, none of the major news networks bothered to pay much if any attention to it. That may be for the best, considering how derangedly it went off the rails. In fact Trump managed to reach some entirely new lows.

As expected, Donald Trump rambled incoherently, dishonestly, and delusionally throughout his speech. Also as expected, he hit his usual low notes, such as the lie that Democrats are committing voter fraud, and the asinine assertion that Democratic Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar shouldn’t be allowed to visit Israel. But then came the uncharted territory.

At one point protesters interrupted Donald Trump’s speech. We generally advise against this kind of thing, for a few different reasons. But as the protesters were being removed by security, Trump pointed to one of them and said “That guy’s got a serious weight problem. Go home. Start exercising.”

Nevermind that Donald Trump is visibly morbidly obese himself. That’s not the point. The point here is that the President of the United States decided that the best way to deal with a protester was to make fun of the guy’s physical appearance. That’s just pathetic. Trump should resign over this incident alone.
