Donald Trump is radioactive and he knows it
So much for the normalization of Donald Trump. When he was being illegitimately sworn in as President of the United States, most of the famous musicians were invited to perform at his inauguration ended up boycotting it. The reasons were clear enough. He’s a racist. He’s serial sexual predator. He’s a career criminal. He’s a monster. The fear was that, after he was in office for awhile, his hideous nature would be seen as the new normal, and he would end up being accepted after all. It turns out the opposite is happening.
All you have to do is take a look at the two humiliating snubs that were thrown in Trump’s face this month. First, the British royal family made clear that Trump would not be invited to the royal wedding. Not wanting the wedding to become an international incident, they also decided not to invite any other politicians. But the message was clear: they didn’t want a racist piece of crap like Trump anywhere near their wedding.
Then decorated war hero and sitting U.S. Senator John McCain made sure the world knew that he didn’t want Trump anywhere near his funeral. He took things even further by inviting President Obama and President Bush to handle the eulogy. McCain is showing that he has plenty of respect for his political rivals, after Obama beat him in the 2008 general election and Bush beat him in the 2000 primary race. But McCain won’t allow Trump on the premises, because Trump is a piece of shit.
So if you were worried that the nation and the world would eventually say “screw it” and start treating Donald Trump as if he were actually the President, rest assured, that’s not happening. Trump is more radioactive than ever, and no one of any value wants him anywhere near them. Trump knows it too. He can rationalize it all he wants, but he knows why he’s not getting invited.
