Donald Trump’s incoming border chief has an ugly scandal already

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump hasn’t had a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner in months, and earlier today his Acting U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner abruptly resigned. It’s still not clear if John Sanders left the building because he was embarrassed that the despicable conditions in Trump’s immigrant child concentration camps were exposed, or if Trump scapegoated him. Either way, Trump has his eye on a new Acting Commissioner, and it turns out this guy has a racism scandal already.

Donald Trump’s Acting ICE Director Mark Morgan is expected to become Trump’s new Acting Customs and Border Protection Commissioner, because at this point Trump has all but given up on even trying to get his corrupt picks confirmed by Congress. The trouble: CNN has unearthed “hateful” and “racist” remarks that Morgan previously made while appearing on Fox News. So now Trump’s incoming border chief is already a liability.

It’s not that Trump cares one bit that Mark Morgan is a racist. In fact Trump surely sees that kind of thing as a plus when it comes to picking someone to oversee his overtly racist, deranged, inhumane, and deadly conditions in Trump’s immigrant child concentration camps. But once the media and the public start making too big of a deal out of the scandals surrounding any one of his own underlings, Trump has a habit of dumping that underling in the hope of making the bad headlines go away.

So we’ll see if Donald Trump sticks with his plan to put Mark Morgan in charge of Customs and Border Protection, or if he tries to find someone else whose racist nature isn’t quite so thoroughly in the headlines. Trump has already parted ways with multiple high ranking border officials, including Kirstjen Nielsen, as he continues to take more immigrants hostage and lock them in concentration camps in increasingly deplorable fashion.
