Rachel Maddow fires back after WikiLeaks attacks her

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Earlier this week Palmer Report brought you the odd story of how Donald Trump seemed to have been watching the Rachel Maddow show on Monday night, which is something he’s never been known to do. We were left wondering why Trump was suddenly interested in Maddow. As it turns out, Trump’s pals at the Kremlin-controlled WikiLeaks are very interested in Maddow.

On her Wednesday evening show, Rachel Maddow pointed to the dangerously cold temperatures across the United States, and then she highlighted a new U.S. intel report about Russia and China having the ability to sabotage the U.S. power grid. On Thursday night, WikiLeaks used its Twitter account to post a video clip of Maddow talking about the power grid, along with this commentary: “U.S. largest audience TV host, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow (Democratic party aligned) this evening: Russia will freeze you and your family to death.”

That’s right, we’ve reached the point where WikiLeaks is making so little effort to hide its Kremlin puppet status, it’s blatantly attacking Rachel Maddow in the name of defending Russia. At least WikiLeaks pointed out Maddow’s ratings success. Come to think of it, why does a group like WikiLeaks, which launched a cyber terrorist attack against the United States in 2016, still get to have a Twitter account? In any case, Maddow ended up getting the better of the exchange.

After WikiLeaks attacked Rachel Maddow, she fired back on Twitter with this response on Friday afternoon: “Awww, u mad?” She then spelled out the full context: “Unclassified Director of National Intelligence Report this week says for the first time that China and Russia can cut portions of the US electrical grid or power supply at will. We interviewed a WSJ energy reporter about it Wed night – which caused RT, Sputnik, and Wikileaks to all freak out over our coverage. It’s so weird to see what hits their alarm bells.”
