Rachel Maddow takes a dump on Donald Trump’s disastrous NBC town hall
When NBC inexplicably and villainously announced that it was holding a last minute town hall with Donald Trump to go up against tonight’s Joe Biden town hall on ABC, the backlash against NBC came fast and furious. During her show last night, Rachel Maddow seemed to imply that she was unhappy about the move, without actually saying it. Tonight she took a dump all over it.
Immediately after Trump’s town hall ended, Rachel Maddow’s show began. She opened her show by stating that “What you just saw was a production of NBC News. We are MSNBC.” She tried to make it as clear as possible that no one at MSNBC approved of the town hall which she went on to describe as “a strange replacement for what was otherwise supposed to be the second debate.”
Maddow then picked apart several of the stupid and controversial things that Donald Trump had just said during his town hall. In particular Maddow harped on something that Palmer Report also flagged as being important, which was that Trump now claims he doesn’t know if he was tested for coronavirus on the day of the debate. Maddow is still picking Trump apart. Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s ABC town hall is still airing and runs until 10pm eastern.
