Rachel Maddow just nailed it

There are a number of important storylines playing out in the news today, which can create a challenge for cable news hosts who have to figure out how to prioritize and cover all of it.

Fortunately, Rachel Maddow was on her game tonight when she used the top of her show to tie the Tulsa Race Massacre and the Oklahoma City bombing to the Derek Chauvin trial and Attorney General Merrick Garland’s prosecution of the January 6th Capitol attackers.

Then in a more light hearted moment, Maddow covered a speech from Vice President Kamala Harris, who was promoting the Biden administration’s American Jobs Plan today. Harris, on a job site, pointed out that hard hats are “unisex.” Maddow then sarcastically suggested that right wing propagandists will spend the next week trying to spin this into a scandal with nonsense headlines like “What is unisex? The Marxist plot to Antifa.”
