Rachel Maddow just nailed it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

MSNBC viewers got whiplash tonight as they went from coverage of Donald Trump’s asinine return to the White House during the 7pm block, followed by an uplifting and inspiring Town Hall from Joe Biden during the 8pm block, then back to coverage of Trump’s maniacal behavior during the 9pm block – leaving everyone wishing the Town Hall had gone on all night. But Rachel Maddow’s analysis during the 9pm hour was crucial.

Maddow pointed out that Donald Trump is suffering from “VIP” medical care, which is to say that because he’s powerful and important, he’s been able to surround himself with doctors who will do whatever he wants, instead of doing what they think is best for him. To that end, Trump has been given three different experimental drug treatments in four days, and was then released from the hospital while he still has coronavirus and pneumonia, and is still on two of the drugs in question.

Rachel Maddow pointed out that this isn’t the first time this happened with a U.S. President; Dwight Eisenhower was given insufficient care by his doctor after having a heart attack. The difference is that Donald Trump is being given negligent medical care and he’s psychotically deranged – and contagious.
