Rachel Maddow just nailed it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

On a day when historic ground-shifting bombshell scandals have been going off one after another, it helps to tune in to Rachel Maddow โ€“ the most insightful person on television โ€“ to get it all sorted out. Maddow opened her show tonight with the Bob Woodward bombshell story, and she put it aptly in big picture context.

Maddow laid out the details of Donald Trump’s taped confession that he’d been lying to the American people about the coronavirus threat all along. Then she explained that if this were a fictional television show about the President of the United States, “this is the episode where the President resigns.”

Of course Maddow pointed out that Donald Trump is showing no interest in resigning, even in the wake of this bombshell story. But she did point out that Trump has begun canceling some of his upcoming campaign events, and that he somehow managed to raise $150 million less the Biden campaign this past month โ€“ a sign that his campaign may be coming to a halt whether he wants it to or not.
