Rachel Maddow just confirmed Michael Cohen – and it’s a big deal

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Days ago, Michael Cohen announced on Twitter that he was in talks with Rachel Maddow about doing an on-air interview. Today he tweeted that the interview was definitely happening. Maddow then tweeted “confirmed.” In other words, we’re actually going to get to see this happen – and it’s a big deal.

Rachel Maddow is a fair but tough interviewer, and Michael Cohen certainly knows this. So his decision to sit down with her strongly suggests that he’s willing to discuss everything. This in turn suggests that Cohen’s new book really does tell all when it comes to the Trump-Cohen crime spree, as opposed to trying to whitewash Cohen’s history. The specific date of the Maddow-Cohen interview hasn’t yet been revealed.

Michael Cohen has also separately confirmed that he’s set to appear on Late Night with Seth Meyers. This comes one day after New York Attorney General Letitia James cited Cohen’s cooperation in 2019 as the starting point for her ongoing investigation into Donald Trump’s crimes. Meanwhile, Michael Cohen’s book is available for preorder right now.
