Donald Trump races back to the White House as everything falls apart for him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When Donald Trump bailed out of Washington DC for Mar-a-Lago last week, there was general agreement that he wouldn’t return to DC until after the new year – and some wondered if he would return at all. But now Trump is suddenly racing back to DC tomorrow, skipping his own New Year’s Eve party in Florida in the process. So what’s going on?

CNN says that Trump has become obsessed with his fantasies about January 6th, a completely unimportant day that he’s delusionally built into some kind of imaginary opportunity to have Mike Pence and the Senate somehow magically overthrow the election. Now Trump is apparently racing back to the White House in order to focus more heavily on his imaginary January 6th plans.

This comes amid reports that Donald Trump has been complaining about Mar-a-Lago nonstop since he got there, even going so far as to whine about some remodeling that Melania did. It’s clear that Trump is unhappy about being relegated to Mar-a-Lago while he awaits his inevitable arrest at the hands of New York State. Now it appears that Trump may have just decided he’d rather get dragged out of the White House. Whatever. He’s hobbled, powerless, and finished – and no amount of hallucinating about January 6th is going to change that.
