It’s not just the House; it’s the Senate as well. Not only are insane Republicans dragging the GOP House caucus into quicksand, but the Republican Senate members are not doing much better.
Yes, make no mistake, the Senate has its fill of Trump superfans, people like Lindsey Graham, Tim Scott, and JD Vance, little Trump robots who are always freshly tuned up and ready to mechanically light up, whenever Donald John Trump wants something.
These Senatorial humanoids are not letting us down in the ridiculous department. They have just handed us MORE ammunition to use in the election. Senate Republicans want to raise your credit card interests.
“Gouging Americans with sky-high junk fees.” Yes, my friends, it’s true. This is the latest ever-so-brilliant idea to come from Senate Republicans. (Why do they do this? Do they want to lose? Many Psychologists would say yes. It’s like they enjoy sabotaging themselves as much as possible.)
President Biden’s new rule caps junk fees at $8.00. That’s pretty clever. Only the Republicans in the Senate want to repeal it.
They even have a bill that says: “Limiting Junk fees shall have no force or effect.” Tim Scott, in particular, is leading this effort to stop Biden from lowering credit card junk fees. Of course, the banking lobbyists love this. And why wouldn’t they? They’re all money vaults, living for the dollar bill.
Some say that THIS particular issue will be critical in the November elections. This is a kitchen table issue, the epitome of one. Look for this issue to become front and center. HOW will Republicans win when they can’t stop showing their contempt for the American people? Do they HATE us? It often seems that way.
