Trump has finally pushed Mike Pence too far

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

On Friday, Trump’s defense team managed to outdo their horrible previous performance. Michael van der Veen argued that Trump was and is concerned about the safety of Mike Pence and everyone else at the Capitol on January 6. The timeline is damning.

According to testimony that Senator Mike Lee’s spokesperson confirmed, Lee told Tuberville he needed his phone back and in the article in Utah, it mentions that Trump was told by Tuberville that Pence was being evacuated. That was shortly after 2 p.m., and the video shows Pence being escorted around 2:15 pm. At 2:24 pm, Trump tweeted “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution . . . USA demands the truth!”

The Trump lawyers argued that Trump did not know what danger Pence was in when Trump tweeted. That is a pile of horse manure. Pence’s own team is denying that Trump was concerned about the safety of the vice president on the insurrection day, and now calling Trump a liar.
