Donald Trump has completely psychotic meltdown about Kamala Harris, gives something away
When Joe Biden first announced on Tuesday that Kamala Harris was his running mate, it quickly became clear that Donald Trump and his allies had no idea how to go about attacking her. They’ve started trying to simultaneously paint her as a cop and an anarchist. They’ve implied, in disgustingly racist fashion, that she’s too Black and not Black enough.
Yesterday Trump was so unsure of how to attack Kamala Harris, he instead launched into a racist tirade about a different Black Senator, Cory Booker, as if they were somehow interchangeable. But today Trump finally decided how he wanted to attack Kamala, and let’s just say that he gave something away in the process.
Trump called in to Fox Business Channel today and called Kamala Harris a “mad woman,” a level of hyperbole which gives away that he still has no idea how to attack her. This kind of histrionic attack might make his deranged base smile, but this election isn’t about them. It’s about the people in the middle, who are only going to buy into Trump’s attacks on Kamala if they’re coded enough that they don’t immediately sound sexist or racist to their ears.
Moreover, Donald Trump made a point of doubling down on how Kamala Harris deposed Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing. The reality is that Kavanaugh is one of the most widely despised people in the entire government, so Trump is merely helping drive voter turnout for Biden-Harris by reminding everyone that Harris absolutely smoked Kavanaugh during that hearing. Trump is giving away that he’d rather defend his fellow sexual assaulter Kavanaugh than focus on winning the election. Trump still doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing. Kamala has him completely spun around.
