Donald Trump’s senility is getting worse – and he knows it

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3360 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

When CBS White House correspondent Weijia Jiang asked Donald Trump a question he didn’t like today, Trump immediately responded by asking which news outlet she worked for. It was a clear giveaway that Trump had no idea who she was – which is remarkable when you consider that Trump famously got into a heated exchange with Jiang just two weeks ago.

So it wasn’t surprising that when another reporter asked a question Donald Trump didn’t like, Trump responded by saying “You don’t have the brains you were born with.” That’s a clunky way of accusing someone of going senile. Trump is projecting here, of course. He was surely aware that he knew Weijia Jiang from somewhere, and that he should know who she is, but he couldn’t place her – a reminder to himself that his mind is slipping.
