Prison cell door slams shut on Peter Navarro
The thing about desperate last ditch legal appeals is that they rarely work and they rarely ever manage to delay anything. Take, for instance, the four month prison sentence handed to Trump adviser Peter Navarro.
After the judge in his case ruled that he must go to prison while appealing the verdict, Navarro asked the appeals court to intervene. But that didn’t work (or delay anything), so Navarro asked the Supreme Court to intervene. Today the Supreme Court told him to take a hike.
And so now Peter Navarro is set to report to prison tomorrow, which was the original date for him to report to prison. Navarro failed to delay anything. And now he’ll be sleeping in a cell as of tomorrow night. Keep in mind, Donald Trump doesn’t have a magic wand either.
