Donald Trump’s latest press conference is an embarrassment even by his standards

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump managed to make it all of five minutes into today’s press conference before CNN and MSNBC both cut him off because he was babbling incoherently about drug cartels and caravans instead of talking about the coronavirus crisis. They did cut back to him intermittently, but they kept cutting away because it just kept getting worse.

At one point Trump was asked a question about the coronavirus and social media. His response was, “Did you know I’m number one on Facebook? I just found out I’m number one on Facebook.” Yes, Trump really is that far gone. The ego and the narcissism still at 100%, but the cognitive abilities seem to be closer to 25%.

Things got bad enough that Donald Trump eventually got into a feud with Fox News correspondent John Roberts, after Roberts dared to ask a question that Trump didn’t like. Trump ended up accusing Roberts of working for CNN. It was just that ugly. This whole thing was a debacle even by Trumpian standards.
