Donald Trump holds completely bonkers press conference after Joe Biden picks Kamala Harris

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

How ground shaking was the news today that Joe Biden was picking Kamala Harris as his vice presidential running mate? Donald Trump promptly called a press conference shortly afterward, and it ended up being such a sideshow, MSNBC didn’t even bother to air it. The whole thing ended up being a disaster for Trump.

Trump made a point of insisting that Kamala Harris was his number one pick for Joe Biden’s running mate, because he looks the most forward to picking her apart. Of course we all know this isn’t remotely the case. Trump has spent significant time trying to scandalize other people who were potentially in VP contention, but he’s always seemed afraid to take on Kamala.

Trump insisted that Harris is a “big slasher of funds for our military” (false) and that “she’s got a lot of difficult things that she’s going to have to explain” (translation: he has no idea how to attack her). He also insisted that Kamala had been “very, very nasty” to Joe Biden. Is this really all he’s got? Trump’s old tired rhetoric of calling women “nasty” isn’t working for him anymore.

Donald Trump also used his press briefing to once again make the laughably deranged false accusation that President Obama and Joe Biden were somehow spying on his 2016 campaign – a claim that continues to get Trump nowhere, as evidenced by his poor poll numbers. Trump ended up walking out of his press briefing after only taking a handful of questions, suggesting that he knew it wasn’t going well for him.
