Even as Donald Trump has spent the past several weeks carrying out a dead-end crusade to pretend he won the election, and his allies have corruptly gone along with it, Joe Biden has stayed out of it and let Trump play himself out. But after the Electoral College formally elected Biden this evening, he gave a speech that was unifying yet rather tough on Trump’s antics.

President-elect Biden used his speech tonight to call on the nation to come together and move forward. But he also called out Donald Trump, certain state Attorneys General, and 126 House Republicans who added their names to Trump’s ludicrous and seditious lawsuit to overturn the election, which the Supreme Court unanimously ruled had no merit.

It was almost as if Biden was saying ‘Okay I’ve played nice throughout this idiocy, but I’ve been taking names, and it ends now.’ It was the kind of message that Biden couldn’t really deliver until after he was officially President-elect. But Biden is clearly showing that he has plenty of aggressiveness up his sleeve when it’s the right time to bust it out.
