The midterms are going to end up being close no matter what, but the Republicans keep doing everything they can think of to try to hurt their chances. There’s Lindsey Graham introducing a nationwide abortion ban. Then there’s Rick Scott introducing a plan to destroy Social Security and Medicare.

It’s not clear why Rick Scott thinks stealing from Social Security and Medicare is winning messaging for the Republicans; given how much money has gone missing from the Republican Senate midterm fund that Scott oversees, maybe he just can’t help himself when it comes to stealing things.

In any case, after Rick Scott tried and failed to sound clever on Twitter, President Joe Biden dropped the hammer on him:
