President Biden cleans house at Homeland Security
One of President Biden’s big challenges is that the “former guy” installed his corrupt lackeys in semi-random positions at nearly every major U.S. governmental agency before he left office. It’s still not clear if Trump was trying to keep spies in place for the sake of his imaginary political future, or if he was merely rewarding his lackeys with jobs for their loyalty.
Either way, Biden and his administration continue to methodically remove these Trump appointees. Now that Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has finally been confirmed, he’s cleaning house at the agency, ousting numerous Trump-appointed advisory board members.
This serves as a reminder of two things. First, it’s going to take time to continue removing the Trump stench from the federal government, as it can’t all be done in a day. Second, Trump never had any evil magic wand for somehow retaining power and influence indefinitely. Sure, he’s managed to keep some of his goons intact for this long, but they won’t last much longer.
