Michael Avenatti obtains evidence about Donald Trump, a mistress, and a pregnancy scare
You know the longstanding yet unsubstantiated rumor about Donald Trump getting one of his mistresses pregnant and paying for her abortion? It looks like we just took a big step closer to being able to file that one as “substantiated.” Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti says he’s gotten his hands on evidence that Trump did indeed have a pregnancy scare with a mistress. Moreover, Avenatti says that Michael Cohen has the evidence as well.
Here’s what Michael Avenatti tweeted: “Breaking: Donald Trump conspired with Michael Cohen to pay off multiple other women prior to Election Day in 2016. They were also concerned about a pregnancy. Cohen has evidence and info in his possession and it must be released to the public. Now!” One of his followers replied and asked why he was classifying this as breaking news, asking “did you receive new evidence?” Avenatti responded “Yes.” So where does this get us?
We should point out that being “concerned about a pregnancy” is not necessarily the same thing as someone actually getting pregnant, which in turn is not the same thing as having an abortion. But there does appear to have been a payoff involved in this discussion about a pregnancy. This raises a new round of questions about the saga of former RNC official Elliott Broidy, who allegedly paid his mistress more than a million dollars to have an abortion. It’s long been widely suspected, but not substantiated, that it was actually Trump who got the woman pregnant, and that Broidy took the fall in order to keep Trump in office.
In any case, what stands out here is that while Michael Avenatti clearly has evidence of a pregnancy scare, he’s also revealing that Michael Cohen has evidence about it as well. It stands to reason that Cohen, as Trump’s longtime trusted fixer, would have more detailed knowledge and evidence about the scandal. Then there’s the big question: is there a tape of Trump and Cohen discussing this pregnancy scare? And if so, do the Feds already have it?
