Here’s the phone call to Putin that’s going to take Donald Trump down – and “there are probably tapes and transcripts” of it
This evening the Washington Post blew the lid off the whistleblower scandal that House Intel Committee Chairman Adam Schiff had been making noise about for the past week. It turns out someone ratted out Donald Trump for having made a “promise” during a phone call with a foreign leader that was so disturbing, it had to be documented. Palmer Report has explained why, given the timeline, it almost had to be Putin. Now the phone call itself has ostensibly been identified.
WaPo says that the phone call between Trump and Putin – which is almost certainly the subject of the whistleblower complaint – took place on July 31st of this year. Former Obama administration official Ned Price has tracked down a tweet posted by the Russian Embassy from that same day, July 31st, asserting that Trump called Putin to offer help in fighting wildfires in Siberia.
As Price points out, Donald Trump couldn’t care less about wildfires. He didn’t even do anything when California was burning. There’s no way that Trump called Putin about fires; this was obviously just a cheap excuse to make the call. In other words, this was the moment where Trump called up Putin and promised him something that was essentially treasonous.
Former Acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal has tweeted that, given the circumstances surrounding the whistleblower report, “there are probably tapes and transcripts” of the phone call in question. In other words, Adam Schiff was right to sound the alarm about this report. It’s the whole enchilada when it comes to exposing Trump’s treasonous loyalty to Putin, and moving Trump from the White House to the Big House.
