Donald Trump just gave away how petrified he is of what Gordon Sondland will do to him next

Earlier this evening, Palmer Report pointed out that while Donald Trump was going completely berserk about Gordon Sondland’s devastating impeachment testimony today, Trump was making a point of attacking the media for (accurately) covering the Sondland testimony, instead of attacking Sondland. Now Trump has taken a really weird swing that gives away just how truly petrified he is of Sondland.

Donald Trump just tweeted this surreal quote from his racist idiot apologist Tucker Carlson: “All four of Gordon Sondland’s lawyers are Democrat Donors.” Trump then added “Despite this, big win today for Republicans!” Here’s the thing. Trump clearly feels he needs to attack and demonize someone over how much damage Sondland did to him today, but even now that he’s attacking the motivation behind Sondland’s testimony, he’s still merely attacking Sondland’s lawyers instead of attacking Sondland.

For the record, this claim about Sondland’s lawyers is also misleading to the point of being nonsensical. Gordon Sondland’s most influential lawyer is Robert Luskin, who is best known for having helped far-right Republican Karl Rove avoid a perjury charge several years ago. In other words, Sondland didn’t hire Luskin based on where Luskin might be on the political spectrum; Sondland hired Luskin because he’s trying to avoid a perjury charge, just like Rove was.

But really, the big takeaway is that Donald Trump keeps giving away just how afraid he is of Gordon Sondland. That’s remarkable, considering Sondland has already completed his testimony. Why does Trump appear to believe that Sondland can decide to do even more damage to him? For some reason, Trump is absolutely petrified about this guy.
