Pete Buttigieg dunks on “Speaker” Mike Johnson

When House Republicans finally settled on Mike Johnson for Speaker of the House, it was specifically because he was enough of a powerless nobody that he wasn’t a threat to any of the various House Republican factions. Of course this has left Johnson in way over his head.

Now Johnson is trying that old tired simplistic trick of taking credit for a positive outcome that he and his party voted against. But Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg was quick to dunk on him for it:

When Republicans like Mike Johnson try stealing credit for the Democrats’ accomplishments, it’s important that the Democrats always call them out for it. The Democratic Party has gotten quite good at doing precisely that, as Pete Buttigieg just reminded us.
