Bill Barr may have just gotten himself nailed for perjury

We've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

Last night Palmer Report explained that, for all the bluster we were going to hear out of Bill Barr during today’s hearing, only two things were going to matter. First, could the Democrats get Barr so flustered that he screws up and says something damaging to Donald Trump’s reelection effort? Second, could the Democrats get Barr to tell an easily provable lie under oath, so they can nail him for perjury?

Now it appears the latter has indeed happened. When the Democrats asked Bill Barr a question involving Donald Trump’s tweets, Barr insisted that he doesn’t even look at Trump’s tweets. But as pointed out by former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner, Barr claimed a few months ago that Trump’s tweets about Roger Stone were making his job difficult. Wait a minute here.

Bill Barr just claimed under oath that he’s never even seen the tweets that he’s previously complained about. Either Barr was lying then, or he’s lying now under oath. For something to be felony perjury, it generally has to be considered relevant to the matter at hand. But Barr was specifically asked about Trump’s tweets, and he appears to have lied about Trump’s tweets in response – thus making this a potentially easily provable perjury case.

Obviously, the DOJ isn’t going to bring perjury charges against Bill Barr as long as Barr and Donald Trump are in control of the DOJ. But Trump is in severe danger of losing the election, and if he does, it’s a given that the DOJ will want to make an example out of Barr for his lawlessness. If Barr knows that he’s facing felony perjury charges after Trump is gone, that’s something the Democrats can use as leverage over Barr during these next few months.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
