Donald Trump has people in his own campaign who are trying to take him down

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

There are few people out there more disloyal than Donald Trump. He’s allowed most of his own criminal co-conspirators to take the fall once they’ve gotten caught. He’s claimed he barely knows his own loyal underlings when it suits him. That means he has enemies within. And because Trump is an easily flattered narcissist, he’s not very good at spotting his enemies within.

That brings us to Trump’s former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, who revealed on Twitter today that Trump “has people inside his own campaign that want him defeated.” This is notable because it means Trump clearly doesn’t know who they are, or he’d have gotten rid of them by now.

For all of Donald Trump’s endless hunts for leakers and such, he doesn’t appear to have any idea what’s going on under his nose. We’ve seen widespread reporting that Trump’s campaign advisers have been feeding him fake positive polls in the hope of keeping him sated, so he doesn’t realize they’re working against him or carrying out their own personal agendas. But Trump is his own worst enemy.
