This political hatred needs to stop. No, I’m not referring to Donald Trump’s latest “assassination attempt.” I’m not even sure how much I believe that’s a real thing. I’m referring to the NH Libertarian Party (or someone in it) posting on X: “Anyone who murders Kamala Harris would be an American hero.” Seriously? Come on, people. This isn’t in the least funny. Then, you have an Ohio sheriff named Bruce Zuchowski who wrote a post on Facebook: “When people ask me…what’s gonna happen if the Flip-Flopping, Laughing Hyena Wins? I say…write down all the addresses of the people who had her yard signs! Soooo…when the illegal human ‘Locust’ (which she supports!) Need places to live…we’ll already have the addresses of their New families…who supported their arrival.” “Zuchowski” sounds like a Polish name to me, which means, at some point, Sheriff Zuchowski’s family were also immigrants to this country. How quickly we forget. These are merely people who don’t want to see Kamala Harris win the presidency. Well, too bad for them because she continues to do well.

According to Newsweek, Harris is now six points ahead of Trump among likely voters, 51% to Trump’s 45%. She is also surging in Pennsylvania, as the latest polls show her narrowly leading Trump. That is the one state that both candidates need, and Harris is up 49% to 46%. This growth will likely continue. The Independent reported that for the second time in its 179-year history, Scientific America (“SA”) has made a presidential endorsement—of Kamala Harris (the other endorsement was for Joe Biden in 2020). On Monday, the publication printed the following headline: “Vote for Kamala Harris to Support Science, Health and the Environment.” The publication explained its reasoning, which includes “better prospects” as opposed to a campaign that focuses on “nonsensical conspiracy fantasies.” SA also touched on issues brought up in the debate and were particularly interested in Trump’s “concept of a plan,” which means he has no plan while Harris wants to bolster the ACA. They also took umbrage to Trump’s claims that people are engaging in murdering babies. SA wrote: “No state allows this.” Harris did so well in the debate that Taylor Swift endorsed her to her 2.8+ million fans, and that endorsement has driven almost a half a million to voting sites.

Everyone is excited about the possibility of Harris taking the White House in November. The numbers don’t lie. Trump had a 17-point lead among Hispanics, and that has been completely obliterated. His Black support has dropped from 13% to 6%. Harris also now leads among independent voters (by 4), and she’s even decreased Trump’s 16-point lead with 50 to 64-year-olds to two points. People are looking at Harris differently and are taking her seriously. The Daily Mail, which shows Harris leading for the first time, quoted a 22-year-old from Texas since the debate: “I thought she was a bad candidate at first but I’ve started to realize that she is the only option.” He voted for Trump in 2020. As days to the election continue to dwindle by, people are waking up to the fact that Trump is the last thing this country needs.
