The band just announced that it’s canceling several upcoming tour dates, blaming both the coronavirus threat, and the Donald Trump administration’s dishonest and disastrous response to the threat.
Pearl Jam tweeted a lengthy thread explaining its reasoning for canceling the tour dates, but this passage was the most politically relevant: “It certainly hasn’t helped that there’s been no clear messages from our government regarding people’s safety and our ability to go to work.
