Donald Trump just got bulldozed by CBS White House correspondent Paula Reid
Donald Trump behaved in such bizarre, incoherent, mentally incompetent fashion today, it made all his previous press briefings look sane in comparison. Trump alternated between asserting absolute power for himself and demanding that the governors take charge. He was confused, combative, and at times completely removed from reality.
At one point Donald Trump aired a surreal propaganda video which tried to assert that Trump proactively shut down the nation early on in the coronavirus crisis, when we all know that the opposite is true. When CBS White House correspondent Paula Reid pointed out that there was a gap in the timeline in the video, Trump went completely bonkers, but she stood her ground throughout his tirade:
Love @PaulaReidCBS going after Trump on what he did in the month leading up to the coronavirus crisis. Points out he didn't use the time to ramp up testing. "What did your administration do in January?"
This is journalism.

This is how it’s done. If we’re going to have these deranged and pointless press briefings to begin with, every White House correspondent should go at Donald Trump as directly and fearlessly as Paula Reid did today. Trump tried hurling his usual personal insults at her, but she didn’t even flinch.
