Donald Trump goes off the paranoid delusional deep end as he’s potentially exposed to coronavirus
Donald Trump has now interacted with at least three people – including Matt Gaetz, Doug Collins, and Matt Schlapp – who have since learned that they interacted with an individual who has tested positive for coronavirus. This doesn’t mean Trump is infected, or that any of those three guys has been infected. But it does mean Trump is going off the paranoid delusional deep end, and he’s not even making any sense about it.
You’d think Donald Trump would be worried about catching the coronavirus from one of his Republican buddies, considering he just flew on Air Force One with Matt Gaetz. Instead, Vanity Fair says that Trump thinks journalists are trying to catch coronavirus on purpose, so they can try to infect him on Air Force One. This is a level of paranoid delusion that calls for an immediate invocation of the 25th Amendment, frankly.
That same Vanity Fair report says that Donald Trump is planning to continue holding his campaign rallies, despite the obvious coronavirus risks inherent in interacting with such a large gathering of people. He doesn’t seem to think that’s a problem, nor does he appear worried that his Republican pals might have exposed to him to the virus, but he does believe that journalists are engaging in some plot to risk their lives just so they can make him sick. This guy is sick.
