Donald Trump panics and checks out of Walter Reed early as everything falls apart for him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Trump just announced he’s checking out of the hospital later today. Given everything we all know about the coronavirus, he’s nowhere near recovered, and shouldn’t be checking out yet. In other words, he’s panicking and checking out early because everything is falling apart in his life, and he’s desperate to try to get back in control of it – to the point that he’s risking his feeble health in the hope of retaining whatever remote election odds he has left.

Trump checking out of the hospital does not mean that he’s somehow suddenly magically winning. His health is still a mess, and his election prospects are now even worse than ever. Trump clearly has coronavirus; you can’t fake an outbreak this large. But the fact that so many people think he’s faking it, is a sign of how poorly this is all going to play out for him.

Majority of Americans blame Trump for dragging us all through this mess, and they will not be swayed by whatever argument he makes about how he’s strong because he beat coronavirus, or how there’s a miracle cure now, or how the pandemic is over. That rhetoric will all fall flat. Trump’s poll numbers, which have always been bad, have gotten even worse this week. People are outraged at his joyride stunt. And now that he’s out of the hospital, the media will feel comfortable bringing all his other scandals back to the forefront.

Meanwhile, Trump’s health is clearly still very bad. Anyone with a coronavirus case as severe as his, doesn’t just magically get over it within days. Recovery takes forever. Ask around. He has to still be very weak, and they’re propping him up with drugs to try to disguise it. So Trump leaves the hospital in worse political and electoral shape than ever, and now he’s too sick and weak to campaign as heavily as he’d like to. And if he abuses the dexamethasone so he can resume campaigning, it’ll likely put him back in the hospital (or kill him) in short order.

Also, Trump will now have to deal with the fallout from the worsening White House coronavirus outbreak, which is now spreading to innocent people, kids, lowest level employees. Much as we’d like to be wrong about this, statistically speaking, one or more of them will likely die in the coming days or weeks. This will only get uglier for him.

You should be mad as hell at Donald Trump right now, for too many reasons to list. But there is absolutely no reason to believe that things are now somehow going well for him, or that he has some secret plan up his sleeve to magically win. Trump is screwed in fifteen different ways.
