With two weeks to go, Donald Trump is clearly on track to lose the election. But is he really losing as badly as we all think he is? Does he have a secret plan up his sleeve that has him confident about his prospects? As it turns out, the answer is a very clear “no.”
When Donald Trump went on Fox News this morning and demanded that Attorney General Bill Barr appoint someone to launch an investigation into Joe Biden and Hunter Biden, it was a reprehensible and criminal abuse of power. But it was also a sign of panicked desperation. Even if Barr did appoint someone to run a probe, it would take several months before even preliminary findings would surface. Trump has two weeks.
One surefire sign of desperation is when you begin frantically demanding that the people around you carry out magical solutions, without realizing or caring that the things you’re asking for are literally impossible. With two weeks to go, Donald Trump has reached that point of desperation. He thinks he’s likely to lose. Now it’s our job to prove him right by turning out to vote in overwhelming numbers.
