One problem with having a stupid president
Donald Trump just tweeted: “’COVID-19 (China Virus) Death Rate PLUNGES From Peak In U.S’” A Tenfold Decrease In Mortality. The Washington Times @WashTimes Valerie Richardson. We have the lowest Mortality Rate in the World. The Fake News should be reporting these most important of facts [sic], but they don’t!”
What the child-raping, murdering fool is jabbering about is an apparent levelling off and dropping of the recent death statistics. I noticed it too, because I report these statistics every morning from my Twitter account (@RAHarrington) in the form: “I like presidents who don’t kill 132,979 people. (As of 6 July, 2020)”
I’ve noticed recently, especially this morning (7th of July), that the numbers are increasing by successively smaller numbers. While I, like any decent human being, applaud this apparent trend, as I pointed out in a previous article, I know the reason for it. I also explained it to the president of the United States:
The apparent drop in disgraceful numbers of deaths that you caused is due to an illusion from a statistical phenomenon known as “Simpson’s paradox.” You’re too stupid to understand it, but America is in for unparalleled death numbers in the coming days, you heartless monster.
Had the president been named Hillary Clinton instead of Donald Trump such an explanation wouldn’t be necessary, first and foremost because the death toll would be staggeringly lower, by one or even two orders of magnitude.
Yet through it all this gibbering, delirious clown can’t help from taking a bigoted shot at China. Trump’s insistence on rechristening the SARS-CoV-2 virus the “China Virus” is arguably the most pitiful attempt by any responsible adult to dodge the bullet of culpability I have ever seen. That aside, the disgraceful point remains, while America owns only 4.2% of the world’s total population, the most powerful country on earth has a whopping 25% of COVID-19 deaths.
Death is the inevitable result of this unprecedented situation, where racism remains an official American policy and immunity to facts its guiding principle. There is nothing that can be said in the face of this kind of ignorance, which is only possible when ignorance is embraced with the ferocious willingness of religious fanaticism. The zealots backing Donald Trump are no longer public servants; they are dangerous commissars bent on protecting Trump’s ego to the point where Americans must die in that service.
This is the problem with having a stupid president, especially one who is both stupid and evil, as Donald Trump most certainly is. He must go and we must make him gone in November. And, as ever, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, comrades and friends, stay safe.
