One final humiliation for Matt Gaetz
Matt Gaetz has lost his House seat, he lost his bid to become Attorney General, he lost any hope of getting his House seat back, he’s saddled with the release of a damning Ethics Committee report that’ll hamper any attempt he might want to make at reentering politics in the future. To top it all off, he’s reduced to hosting on some right wing propaganda network to try to make himself relevant. But now he’s faced one more final humiliation on his way out of politics.
When it was formally announced in the House today that Matt Gaetz would not be retaining his seat in the new term, the House erupted in cheers. Best we can tell from the footage, the cheers came from both sides of the aisle.
Imagine being so hated by everyone around you that when you finally get booted from Congress, both parties literally erupt in cheers. Bon voyage, Matt Gaetz, we don’t need to hear from you again.
