On a personal note…
I don’t usually talk about this kind of thing, but on a personal note, I’ve had worsening back issues the entire election cycle. It obviously hasn’t kept me from writing, but I’ve had to keep finding new ways to work around the issue, and let’s just say that it wasn’t getting easier during those final days of the election.
Since the election ended I’ve begun carving out time for proper treatment, often sneaking out in the middle of the workday for diagnostics and such. Don’t worry, I have no intention of cutting back on my overall writing and publishing schedule. There’s so much work left to be done in 2021. But as I get further into this, I want to be up front with all of you about what’s going on, as I may have to take the occasional day off here and there for tests or treatment.
This time around they’ve injected a steroid called dexamethasone into my spine. I’m feeling somewhat better already. But dexamethasone is the same thing they gave Trump when he was in the hospital, so I’m worried the side effects may or may not include treason 😉
