Kamala Harris, who secured the support of enough delegates last night to become the presumptive 2024 Democratic nominee for President, is holding a rally in the key swing state of Wisconsin today. This comes after she gave a televised speech at her campaign headquarters yesterday. Meanwhile Donald Trump is nowhere.

In the two full days since President Biden handed the torch to Kamala Harris, Trump has been nowhere to be found. He feebly called into Fox News last night with JD Vance, in some kind of weird attempt at proving that he doesn’t regret the Vance pick. But as far as in person rallies, Trump and his campaign are in some kind of stall mode.

This is a time when Kamala Harris is gaining historically unprecedented momentum. Trump should be out there trying to do something, anything, to push back against it. Instead he’s in his proverbial basement. Trump has now become the “feeble old man” in this race, and so far he’s doing nothing to counter that perception. And that’s just fine with me.
