“Ok, Donald, get your rest” – Kamala Harris slam dunks a faltering Donald Trump
Donald Trump has disappeared from the campaign trail ever since his ill fated rally in Atlanta where he whined about all the empty seats and accused the host of trapping imaginary Trump supporters outside. Trump did hold a “press conference” from his house yesterday, and he’s visiting the safely red state of Montana today, but these things don’t count as campaigning.
Now Trump says that he’s planning to stay off the campaign trail until after the Democratic National Convention. It’s starting to feel like his handlers are keeping him off the trail because of how embarrassing his behavior has become, or there’s something physically wrong with him, or his psychological collapse has gotten so bad that he doesn’t want to be on the campaign trail anymore. Take your pick.
Either way, the Kamala Harris campaign has issued a blistering takedown of Donald Trump’s disappearance from the campaign trail, pointing out that “Trump has not visited a swing state this week and apparently isn’t visiting any next week” and punctuating it with “Ok, Donald, get your rest.” Ouch!
