Oh well that settles it then

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As Donald Trump skipped out to his golf resort in Virginia today, his press secretary Kayleigh McEnany was left to answer questions about the revelation that Russia was paying Taliban terrorists to kill U.S. troops while Trump kept quiet about it.

McEnany is a disgusting liar, so we knew she’d come up with something suitably ridiculous to say. Sure enough, she delivered. McEnany told reporters today that Donald Trump and Mike Pence somehow didn’t know the Russia thing was going on. Wait, they didn’t know? Oh well that settles it then. Case closed.

Meanwhile back in the real world, the New York Times report makes clear that Donald Trump was briefed on the matter several months ago. And realistically, there is no way that U.S. intel would uncover something this egregious, essentially an act of war against the United States, and not brief the President of the United States about it. Yet that’s the excuse Trump is going with.

Donald Trump and Mike Pence have likely backed themselves into a corner with this one. All that’s now required is for the media to uncover proof – or for a witness to go public and confirm – that Trump and Pence did in fact know about this. Then it’ll be an even bigger scandal. One thing about the Trump regime: it sure knows how to make a scandal even worse with an inept coverup.
