Oh good, Putin wants to say something

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

“President” Donald Trump this week has been fully behind the Saudi Arabian royal family as it works with him to come up with a cover of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. Trump has previously touted how he has “fallen in love” with Kim Jong Un. We now have confirmation that his main Puppet Master, Vladimir Putin, is touting how the United States is fading.

According to a story in the Financial Times, Putin suggested that the United States was in its twilight, something that to the extent true, he has helped to engineer. In his annual foreign policy address, Putin blamed much of the world’s current problems not on Russia, but on “US hegemony,” stating that the United States “monopoly is disappearing. It’s almost done.”

After speaking of the woes facing the United States, the Puppet Master then apparently gave a shout out to his asset, Donald Trump, noting that Trump has listened to Putin’s arguments on why the United States is to blame for much and is failing, and that Trump is working toward improved United States-Russia relations.

Putin’s comments ignore the role he has played in any demise the United States is facing, from the Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election to other agenda items that Trump has advanced, including amongst our allies to permit Russia back into the G7. At the end of his speech, Putin spoke of the Khashoggi situation and why Russia is not involved, also asserting the United States is responsible in some way for Khashoggi’s death. Trump likely is gloating that he received praise from another violent dictator about how he is having a good dialogue with Putin and listening to Putin. In the meantime, our world perception continues to erode- and maybe that is the endgame goal of Trump – and Putin.
