Oh come on, Michael Moore

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Whenever I’ve occasionally pointed out during the 2020 election cycle that Michael Moore has jumped the shark, I’ve gotten pushback from some readers who still appreciate Moore’s activism from years past. The trouble is, Moore just keeps going on MSNBC and pushing more divisiveness and dishonesty than ever. Tuesday night was the last straw.

Even as Joe Biden was racking up big wins in Michigan and other states, making clear that voters prefer Biden over Bernie Sanders, Michael Moore was on MSNBC insisting that none of it was happening. He pushed for Sanders to remain in the race; nevermind that Sanders now has no path to the nomination. He pushed the ridiculous narrative that Biden is some kind of corporate sellout, when Biden has spent forty years demonstrating that he’s a man of the people.

The whole thing was just awful – and Michael Moore’s remarks were so destructive, his name began trending atop Twitter as everyone called him out for his antics. If Moore felt like he had to spend the past several months crapping all over the mainstream Democratic candidates in a desperate attempt at propping up Bernie Sanders, then so be it. But that time is over. We have a nominee now. It’s time for MSNBC to stop having Moore on the air, if he’s going to keep up this nonsense.
