Official “House Republicans” account posts insane tweet, deletes it, during January 6th public hearing

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. If the House Republican caucus was hoping no one would watch the January 6th public hearings or be swayed by the findings, the TV ratings and poll numbers strongly suggest otherwise. This is going quite poorly for Donald Trump, and by extension, his Republican loyalists.

Each time a January 6th public hearing has taken place, one House Republican Twitter account or another has tried to write off the testimony as mere “hearsay.” Legal experts, and those with a dictionary, have been quick to point out that this was not the case. During tonight’s hearing, things got a lot dumber.

The official @HouseGOP account tweeted “This is all heresy.” No really, heresy. That’s something that goes against a religious belief. We presume they meant “hearsay” but given how many of these losers worship Donald Trump, who knows?

In any case, the idiotic tweet promptly received thousands of replies making fun of it within the first fifteen minutes it was posted – before it was deleted.
