Officer Eugene Goodman is a hero of the U.S. Capitol attack
There are endless questions about how the domestic terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol building was able to happen this week, how the terrorists were able to get into the building so easily, why Capitol Police were so badly outnumbered without any reinforcements, and so on. But the heroes of the day are already beginning to emerge.
Say hello to Officer Eugene Goodman. When a large group of terrorists was headed toward the Senate chamber, with the Vice President and other elected leaders inside, Goodman insulted and poked the terrorists, so they’d chase him instead. He lured them upstairs and away from the chamber, and ultimately led them into a room full of police, where they could be detained.

Office Goodman is Black, and he did this knowing they were white supremacists. He made himself live bait in order to save the lives of our elected officials. He should be given every award and recognition possible for his bravery and quick thinking.
