Earlier today, the Trump White House almost did something right for once, when it announced a full lid for the day – meaning there would be no coronavirus press conference today. This was a relief, considering what an abominable disaster these briefings are. But now for some reason Donald Trump has changed his mind.
Trump has announced that he’s holding a coronavirus crisis briefing at 7pm eastern today, for reasons known only to him. Based on the prepared text that his handlers gave him yesterday, it was pretty clear that they felt he would benefit from coming off as mentally stable for once, but instead he ended up putting on one of his most deranged performances to date. We’ll see what the idiot has to say today.
