Now Donald Trump wants New York to take him back

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It’s a globe of culture and diversity, a smorgasbord of personality types, a meeting house for all things colorful and festive. This place has a population of 7,888,121. This neon-lit planet of people, places, and things never sleeps.

This place is New York, New York. It’s a song often heard on New Year’s Eve. This is the place that Donald Trump is obsessed with. New Yorkers despise Donald Trump. It’s one of the few places I know that actually sells “I hate Trump” souvenirs.

This is the place Trump cannot get out of his blood. This is the place Trump has decided to make a play for if he becomes the Republican nominee. You know, friends and readers — it ALMOST makes me hope he IS the nominee. Donald Trump has revealed that if he is the nominee, he intends to go after Blue states, and one of those states is Old New York.

Trump explained to Breitbart that some may think him foolish (we do), but it’s just something he has to do: “I’m going to make a heavy play for New York.” Oh no! Oh yes. Trump has about as much chance of winning New York as we do of winning Mississippi. In other words, there is no chance.

Trump also listed New Mexico and Virginia as states worthy of chasing. But New York seemed uppermost in his mind. Apparently, Trump has not recovered from New York letting him know they can’t stand him. Joe Biden defeated Trump by almost 25% more votes. This could be good — for us.

That’s because if Trump IS the nominee, he would be spending precious time campaigning in a state that would happily spit at him as soon as look at him. I do NOT refer to just the Big Apple. Trump is hated in Brooklyn. Trump is despised in Queens. Trump does not have a fighting CHANCE of winning New York, but don’t tell him because I don’t think he knows.
