Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Although Congress is no longer in session, House Republicans are still determined to keep President Biden’s impeachment inquiry in the headlines – hoping it can damage his character to the degree that he won’t be viable in 2024. It’s a pretty stupid plan, to put it mildly – but this is even more of a joke than we thought. Ask any House Republican what they’re impeaching him for, you’re not likely to get a straight answer.

Despite having several years of desperately trying to find an actual scandal about Hunter Biden they could tie to his father, the GOP manages to keep embarrassing themselves at every turn. They don’t even have any actual witnesses that would normally come forward at an impeachment hearing for something even remotely legitimate.

Republicans got their hopes up on Wednesday when they interviewed Carol Fox, a trustee for Americore, which gave a $600,000 loan to President Biden’s brother James Biden back in 2018. The problem is that Joe Biden wasn’t the president in 2018, nor even a candidate for office, and Fox testified that Joe Biden had no influence over the loan Americorp made to his brother.

The GOP used to be experts at coming up with scandals that were entirely baseless – but this one has absolutely none of the things that draw in middle of the road voters or even the average pundit desperately chasing ratings. Their big resolution for 2024 may evaporate before the new year even begins – and it’s yet another reason why they can’t be trusted with another term in the majority. Let’s vote them out in 2024.
