None of those words even go together

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

On Saturday, Iran formally acknowledged that it still has an “ongoing” criminal case going against FBI agent Robert Levinson, who disappeared in the country twelve years ago – suggesting that he may still be alive, and that Iran may have possession of him. This is a serious matter requiring some formidable international diplomacy on the part of the President of United States. Unfortunately, instead of having a President, we have Donald Trump.

When the news broke about Levinson, Donald Trump was in the midst of frantically retweeting his own sycophants, posting deranged Fox News clips, illegally posting plugs for books being sold by his friends and family, and attacking the media for not covering his favorite conspiracy theories. Somewhere in there, Trump coughed up this hairball:

If Iran is able to turn over to the U.S. kidnapped former FBI Agent Robert A. Levinson, who has been missing in Iran for 12 years, it would be a very positive step. At the same time, upon information & belief, Iran is, & has been, enriching uranium. THAT WOULD BE A VERY BAD STEP!

Huh? None of those words even go together. The so-called President of the United States just tweeted “same time, upon information & belief, Iran is, & has been,” in response to an international diplomatic incident. Then he exploded in all capital letters. This is pathetic even by Donald Trump’s bottom of the barrel standards.
