No wonder Mike Pence remained so loyal to Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Earlier this afternoon the news broke that Jared Kushner had helped create a secret shell company to funnel more than half a billion dollars in Trump 2020 campaign money to Donald Trump’s family members. At the time, we predicted more such stories would follow.

Sure enough, the scandal is expanding. Yhe New York Times is now reporting that nearly three quarters of a billion dollars in campaign money was funneled into that shell company, and that it was run by Donald Trump’s daughter in law Lara Trump, and Mike Pence’s nephew John Pence.

To be clear, if this campaign money went to something other than legitimate campaign uses, then everyone who took the money and/or helped facilitate it is guilty of felony campaign finance violations. We’ve seen Mike Pence’s nephew on the campaign trail before, but this is the first reporting that he’s been involved in shady campaign finance antics. No wonder Mike Pence remained so loyal to Trump; the campaign was apparently a family grift for Pence as well.
