No wonder Marjorie Taylor Greene is panicking

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When the January 6th Committee sent subpoenas to the likes of Steve Bannon and Mark Meadows earlier this month, it was clear that it was merely an opening salvo. This week Committee Chair Bennie Thompson confirmed that more subpoenas had just gone out, without revealing the names of the targets.

Now Marjorie Taylor Greene of all people is revealing on Twitter that someone close to her, whom she describes as one of “Trump’s strongest supporters,” is in the process of being served a subpoena by the January 6th Committee. It’s not clear if the individual in question is a member of Congress, or someone else.

Either way, it’s no wonder Marjorie Taylor Greene is panicking over this with increasingly histrionic Twitter threads, going so far as to declare that subpoena recipients “won’t be playing your stupid games anymore” – even though that’s not how subpoenas work.

It’s clear that the January 6th investigation is getting closer to people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who incited the attack to begin with. This is closing in on insurrectionists like her. She should be panicking.
