No wonder Donald Trump Jr completely lost his mind
There’s always a small part of me that wants to feel pity for Donald Trump Jr. He was raised by a monster of a father and a mother who wasn’t much better. Psychopathy is all he’s ever known, along with the crime family business. He never had a chance. Then I remember he’s a fully grown man in his forties who tried to conspire with a foreign government to rig a U.S. presidential election, and that pity evaporates.
Still, even if you’re rooting for him to pay for his crimes, it’s been jarring to watch him devolve over the past few years from a garden variety bumbling idiot, into the mentally unstable paranoid delusional shadow of himself that he’s clearly become. You know it’s bad for him when his public appearances are so disconcerting, the public can’t decide whether he’s on drugs or he needs to be on drugs.
But now we’re getting a sense of why the guy fell apart so badly. Vanessa Trump filed for divorce from Donald Trump Jr right around the time the Mueller probe was closing in on him. Mueller ended up giving up and going home instead of filing criminal charges against Junior. But it turns out after the divorce, Vanessa reportedly ended up dating a Secret Service agent who had previously been guarding their family. If that kind of thing doesn’t screw you up in the head, we’re not sure what does.
Of course Donald Trump Jr then went on to date Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is either highly mentally unstable herself, or very good at pretending to be. No wonder Junior has completely lost his mind. We’re all still waiting to see whether the inevitable criminal indictment of Donald Trump in New York also includes Donald Trump Jr. If that happens, Junior is likely to fall apart even further. So be it.
